Includegraphics causes entire page to turn bold (LaTeX)

This happens when you 're including a .pdf image, which contains text in latin modern fonts. Found no other solution except turning into a .jpg (and missing the vector graphics pros) or changing the font type.

Hello,
I had this problem in two pages of my thesis which included graphics. I solved this problem by deleting all the unnecessary files in the project directory; a new compilation solved the problem.
Hope it can help you ;)

Had the same problem... updated my latex distribution (miktex) which solved the problem.

(My last updated had been made in April and most of the updates were dated August and September so it wouldn't probably have worked for you guys, but it might help the next poor guy falling onto this post ;) )

Cheers

I don't know why, but saving the image with iview (http://irfanview.tuwien.ac.at/) picture view solves that problem.

Thought I had the same problem using Miktex compilator/Texniccenter editor. Using Ctrl + F5 to build and view output gives some entire pages in bold font.

But when I close the pdf and reopen it, the bold font vanishes :)

I had the same on pages with transparent png images, changing to not transparent or to jpg solved problem.

Had the same issue with a .PNG

Interesting thing is that I have more of those throughout my current project and only one cause full page bold face.

Changing it to jpg helped though. Cheers for the suggestion

Same here Texniccenter 2.0 Alpha 3, MikTex 2.9.3972. Problem seems to occur when including png graphics. Restart of Acrord32 helps. Is it a bug in acroread or in the pdf? Is it really necessary to change from png to jpg?

The problem is with transparency. If the .png is transparent sometimes the section turns bold. Removing the transparency fixes the problem.

I also had this problem, but when I closed the pdf and all other pdfs open, and re-generated, the bold disappeared.
